My moldy mother's day!

Ok, so what a wonderful day it turned out to be-hahaha! The kids did straighten up the diningroom a bit after dinner so I didn't have to, that was cool! Mostly, it was Q-boy who did it, so that was REALLY a nice surprise! Tejani opted to abandon me and spend the night at the neighbor girl's house, but it was less work for church the next morning! So, the pastor, he gave the same sermon as last year--there are high rates of young people with STD's in Omaha, gangs are rampant, etc etc--so, good job, Mom's--and happy mother's day! It was all good, though, cuz the message was, if your mom honors God, you really should honor your mom! I'm not all mushy about mother's day, really, though! But, I know the kids get joy from giving me the little flowers they planted in Sunday school and the pictures they made in class, so I like that. Then, there's my husband. He gave me a shirt that actually fits and I can even still wear it after I have the baby--and it's a good color on me--then he gave me a little knick-knack--and gave his mom the exact same one--how quaint, ahem! Then, he gave me my card, no little note written inside or none of that jazz--and I swear he gave me her card! It said thank you for making me who I am or something like that. Now, I guess I can say I have been a positive influence on him, but I really think he just got the cards mixed up! It's nice to know he thinks his 85 year old mother is beautiful, though--mhm, sorta twisted if you ask me! So, then I got my cake. All the frosting had slid off! He hid it in the curio cabinet in the livingroom--since APRIL!! I think it was my birthday cake that I asked for and he forgot to give it to me cuz it said sell by April 15th on the side and my b-day was April 11th, so he tried to pass it off--how sweet! Cept, when I cut into it, it was GREEN! Lemon cake is not GREEN! I was taking no chances on trying to figure out if the sourness was supposed to be there or not!! Then, he went to work on his day off and came home three hours after he was done cuz he was helping his nephew move or some ridiculous thing he failed to mention before he left! What a wonderful day I had with all the kids running in circles around me while I tried to do homework in spite of my anger!! Needless to say, I didn't get very far! So, happy moldy mother's day to me! I really hope everyone else had a good day, though!
